Actors of the Rooftop View

As taking part of Fujinoyama Biennale 2016, this sound installation represents the polyphonic history of the area spread around the mouth of the Fuji River, by collecting various sounds from the nature and the townscape. Walking around the rooftop of a building in the shopping street, guided by narration piped into their ears from provided headphones, the viewer experienced the lives of local residents spent side by side with the water across the ages from ancient, early modern to depopulating period.
